Instead that rejection, spiraled me into a double depression. I hit rock bottom and counted my sleeping pills in my medicine cabinet. I was officially diagnosed with dysthymic disorder and spent many hours on a therapy couch.  Instead of suicide, I prayed for God to send her the right wiener this time. He sent me a dachshund. (insert wiener dog jokes here). Lenci, my new little wiener, gave me the motivation to get back out in the world. She was also my new muse for creative ideas. I had the desire to keep perusing my dreams of comedy and public speaking. I landed a gig as a Spinal Cord Injury nurse and learned that others were more depressed than me. I used my humor to heal them and their families. So, this is the start of my healing journey: writing down my feelings, adopting a wiener dog, and taking my prescr
